Snow?

I'm ready for a snow day. Bring it on. Actually - I'm ready for a snow week. Snow so deep that we are house bound all together. I was cleaning off my dresser yesterday when I came across the stack of snow photos from last January and I have to say, it really brought back some fun memories. Dakota and I had a blast pulling the kids on sleds, throwing snowballs, making snow angels and snowmen. I loved that our daughter would lay on her tummy on the sled picking up handfuls of snow and while we pulled her around and around she would just lay there and eat the snow.

Our son was into having snowball fights and sliding as far and as fast as he could. He, being the daredevil (not unlike Dakota, mind you) that he was would get on the sled at the top of the yard and zoom down, towards the street. Never failing to give me a heart attack that the would end up in the path of an oncoming car (which wasn't likely since one of us was standing there to catch him but still.....).

It was so much fun. So, so much fun. Sure, making up the missed classes for Dakota was a pain for all of us but the four days of playing in the snow and loving every minute of it was worth it all.

So I'm ready now. Bring on the snow. It's time.

I love that picture, especially Kaylen, tipping her head back to see from under the stocking hat! And ... WOW, has she grown!!

Gotcha! That's a picture from last January. We haven't had snow yet this year though I am certainly wanting it. :)

(And I noticed I even dated the scrapbook page incorrectly. It says Jan 2006 but nope - it was 2007. Darn!)
